Rhode Island Map Modernization/RISK MAP Program Manager - position opening

To be posted on the State of Rhode Island Department of Labor and Training website:

"This position will manage the Rhode Island Map Modernization/RISK MAP program, which includes working in close coordination with the State's National Flood Insurance Program. Will serve as the central point of contact for Rhode Island's Map Mod Program and must coordinate program functions with a wide range of interests including FEMA, local governments, selected professional services contractors, and other potential state and federal partners. This position develops and manages state floodplain mapping activities, including program planning and development, management and coordination of contractors for map and floodplain information modernization and conversions; coordination with local governments and FEMA to facilitate the development of mapping projects that meet local, state and federal goals; and coordination and formal adoption of new or revised floodplain studies in conjunction with federal and local governments. To be responsible for conducting workshops and training sessions. To do a variety of related Emergency Management work as required by the Director of the Emergency Management Agency."
