A new collection of statewide orthophotographs is now available from RIGIS! It consists of multispectral (4-band), 6-inch spatial resolution orthorectified digital aerial photographs that were collected April 29 - May 2, 2011. These images were contracted by a partnership consisting of the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management, Rhode Island Department of Transportation, United States Geological Survey, and RIGIS.
Not only are these orthophotographs available in JPEG2000 and GeoTiff formats as traditional file downloads, but RIGIS has teamed with the University of Rhode Island Environmental Data Center to also make these images available via a series of online map and image services.
